Kevin Johansen
Kevin is the chair of the Angel Capital Summit.
"Call me a social capitalist. I put a lot of energy into insuring the health
of the communities I belong to, because if they're not in good shape it's

improve the business ecology, and I'd like to think that I'm talented enough

Kevin's a serial, successful entrepreneur and investor, and as such he takes
this 'social capital' thing VERY seriously. As he says: "It's the network,
stupid." He was born into a great one, but not one full of capital or
entrepreneurial expertise - so he had to build one that worked to support
his needs for both. The result is the BusinessCatapult.com, a social
networking platform for entrepreneurs, investors and advisors that works for
ALL of us. Though still in beta, the BC is also the platform that the Angel
Capital Summit is run on, and the ACS is the largest angel investor fair in

Les Makepeace
Les is the Executive Committee Chairman of the Angel Capital Summit 2010
Mr. Makepeace is a twenty year Navy veteran, spending the first half as a
carrier pilot and warfare specialist, and the last half designing, building,
testing and deploying the advanced hardware and software solutions demanded by increasingly technology dependent customers.
In industry, Les has provided strategic consulting to the federal
government, Fortune 500 multi-national businesses, growing middle market
companies, and start ups. Entrepreneurial at heart, the common thread is how best to position the enterprise to take advantage of where the market is
headed in a cost constrained environment. Although primarily focused on businesses with technology and manufacturing components, companies with the ability to create strategic differentiation in future markets are who Les most enjoys working with. Les' clients include companies with branded B to C offerings aimed specifically at exploiting market trends.
Les is a Director of the Colorado Nanotechnology Alliance, and Adjunct
Faculty at the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business,
specializing in entrepreneurship, leadership, and strategy. Les has a
Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of Maine, a Master of
Science in Mathematics and a Master of Science in Astronautics from the
Naval Postgraduate School, and his Master of Business Administration from
the Daniels College of Business, University of Denver.
