---How to Start Your Export Company---

Copyright © 2006 Jorge Olson

What's the secret of creating an export company? Well, you don't have to be a manufacturer, an importer or even have your own private products. What you need is knowledge, knowledge of where you want to export and how to contact the importers, distributors, stores or customers in that country. Once you do that getting products is the easy part. Just ask them what they need! Keep reading to find a quick overview of how to get started.

If you're looking to make a little extra money or completely replace your current job, you will want to consider trying to begin an export company. However, many people think that this process needs to be difficult or time-consuming and that just isn't the case. Instead of listening to everyone else's reasons for not getting into exporting, why not listen to the easy process that will get you off and running?

Beginning an exporting business does not require you to have a lot of capital, meaning that you don't have to have a lot of start up cash to get off and rolling - quite the opposite. What you do need is a lot of attention to detail and a willingness to work hard. There are few businesses in the United States that actually export to other countries, so you will need to figure out a way to establish yourself or maker relationships with those companies.

You might want to start by heading to the country that you wish to export to in order to set up business contacts. You can even start this process by taking to local contacts to see if they could refer you to anyone that might want to work with you and buy your particular products. Even if you meet with these referrals and they don't end up being profitable, you may meet someone else through them that might work out well.

What you do have going for you is that fact that you are a minority in the field. This tends to sound like a disadvantage, but it really isn't. When you're unique in this respect, you will be able to draw more attention than you could with hundreds of other competitors. Try to focus on your uniqueness when you are trying to find retailers and show how you are different from the wholesalers they may already be using.

How are you different? This is the first question that any business should ask in order to establish their reputation. When you're looking to be a prominent part of someone's business, you need to show them what your value is. Think about what your product offers that other supplier products may not offer. If there are no differences, talk about your pricing and how much lower it is - assuming that it is. Maybe you can cut down on the delivery and shipping costs that other wholesalers might charge. Find a way to make yourself different.

Exporting also requires that you know a lot about moving goods in and out of the country. Sitting down with another local exporter can be a valuable lesson in what to do and what not to do. Or you can talk to your local government agencies to see how they might be able to guide you. It's always better to research too much in this area rather than too little. A small problem with customs can lead to bigger problems with finding consumers that want to buy from you without running into issues.

Unselfish Self Promotion

Dear adsdsf,

I hope you are well.

I'm so excited today as my first book is completed: "The Unselfish Guide to Self Promotion". Let me tell you how it all started...

When I was 12 years old I decided I wanted to be a writer. I used to write every day. Mostly I wrote poetry but wanted to write short stories with deep emotional meaning. I wanted to communicate change, truth, happiness. As time passed everybody told me I could not be a writer, I'd be better off as a doctor, an architect or an executive. Writers, after all, don't make any money.

At that age I did not really care much about money, I cared about changing the world, about communicating emotions, motivating, and calling people to participate in social change. Yes, I was an idealistic teenager!

By now I did not just want to be a writer; I also wanted to be a missionary. I've been involved in missionary and social work for years and really enjoyed it.

Later on I realized that to help my family I needed to make some money. We lived in Tijuana, Mexico with no running water and no electricity. I realized it was irresponsible to just think of myself, my writing, and not my family. So I decided to put my writing and missionary work aside and study business to make money and help out in my household. I was 16 years old.

So I studied business and made it to CEO of a software company at 28 years of age. Later on I started a couple of businesses and sold them, I did consulting and was involved in many other business ventures. Now, at 37, I came full circle. It's now time for me to write.

My first book is finished. It is a motivational, inspirational and self help book all rolled up in one. It is called "The Unselfish Guide to Self Promotion". It will change your attitude towards life, family, even business.

You will learn how to be a master of self promotion and self marketing, how to sell yourself and raise your value. Now, with that said, it is not a sales book, it is a self help and motivational book. Why? Because before teaching you these powerful marketing techniques you also have to learn when and how to use them, and most importantly, how to use them to help others, not just for your own benefit.

I posted my book up on the website http://www.UnselfishPromotion.com for pre-sale at $13.97. This is a discounted price with free shipping because it is a pre-sale. The book will be in print next month and sold in bookstores at regular price.

There is also a video with an introduction of the book at http://www.unselfishpromotion.com/video.html that goes over the principles of "Unselfish Promotion" in only 7 minutes. The video also covers "Caveman Promotion" and how the world of promotion was invented.

This is the first of many books. I'm already working on 2 more books that are more on the business side. I'm also working on children's books... but this one, the first one, the unselfish one, consolidates a view that is of utmost importance, especially in these economic times. It poses deep ethical questions of yourself and others, questions that we have to ask not just ourselves but our politicians and business executives (especially in banking).

So participate in the "Unselfish Self-Promotion" world, read the new book, tell me how you feel about the book, and how we can apply the ideas and principles of the book. Find it at http://www.UnselfishPromotion.com

Thanks,

Jorge Olson

Article on Wholesale Watches

Hi adsdsf,

New article on Wholesale Watches. One of my favorites things and also one of my favorites things to sell.

Visit www.DistributionBusiness.com for more information on how to sell Wholesale Watches.

Thanks,

Jorge Olson

---How to Make Money with Wholesale Watches---

Copyright © 2006 Jorge Olson

You can make money, a lot of money with wholesale watches. You can even create a business around it. As a matter of fact that, if you are thinking of any kind of watch business you'll need to buy them at wholesale watches, so you will be in the "Wholesale Watch Business".

Now, let's talk about how you can Make Money with Wholesale Watches. You can make money around different types of watches at different prices depending on what you like and what you can buy. Maybe you like high end watches and you have a supplier, maybe you prefer to sell high quantities of inexpensive watches that you buy for around $2. It's all up to you and the type of business you want.

There are even many ways to sell those watches. You can sell them to stores, to other wholesalers or distributors and you can also sell them directly to the end user.

I've sold watches in different ways at different parts of my life. The first time I sold watches I was about 20 years old. I got a small lot of watches at a good price and I sold them to a very small watch repair shop in San Diego, California. I only had a handful of watches and I doubled my money. Now, I did not really like walking form one business to the next offering low end watches so the next time I stumbled into some watches I did it differently.

A few years ago I had a distribution business with several salespeople. My salespeople serviced convenience stores with novelties and I had the idea of selling watches to those accounts. I went to a big trade show in Las Vegas and purchased a few cases of watches.

My salespeople went to the stores and offered those watches to the accounts and, success. There where an easy sell even when selling them to gas stations and liquor stores. There where very inexpensive watches but I managed to double or triple my money with every sell by still leaving enough money so the retailer could do the same.

These are just two ways I sold watches, you can use many other ways, let me give you a final example of how I sold watches on eBay.

I noticed that the same watches I was selling to my retail store customers where selling on eBay at "wholesale prices". Only there were not really wholesale prices, they were expensive. I decided to start selling my watches on eBay at through wholesale prices and in bulk. My customers where retail stores, wholesalers, other people selling on eBay. I also got many customers that used the watches as giveaways or promotions.

Now, how much did I sell? About $20,000 per month. Yes, this may sound like a lot of money but I think watches can sell much more. I sold low priced Chinese Made watches for about $3 each, most of the time I sold a few case of 30 or 40 watches.

There are many ways you can sell watches and many ways to make money with them. There are many ways of selling watches of any price range. You could sell them from home to friends and family, to retail stores, on the internet, by mail order, and many others.

How you decide to start selling watches will depend on your personality, your time and your investment. If you want to start selling Rolexes or Omega watches you'll need more than a couple of hundred bucks. On the other hand if you are selling low cost watches a couple of hundred bucks is all you need.

Article: Energy Drinks

Hi adsdsf,

As you probably know I'm a consultant for the Beverage Industry. At the moment Energy Drinks are the hot product in that market. Here is one of my article on Energy Drinks.

Don't forget, to learn more about the Wholesale Business visit www.DistributionBusiness.com

Thanks,

Jorge Olson

---What are the hot products at the moment? "Energy Drinks"---

Copyright © 2006 Jorge Olson

The Beverage Industry is hot, sizzling, and it's all because of the New Age Beverage Category that's lead by the Energy Drinks. Energy Drinks are the greatest thing happening right now in Retail and Wholesale Businesses. Everyone is getting into it, the beverage distributors, wholesalers, cash and carry's, beverage manufacturers, supermarkets, convenient stores, everyone.

Energy Drinks are so hot you even start to see them at specialty stores. I've seen Energy Drinks at Home Depot, The Gap clothing store, Best Buy and Sports Authority.

I get more calls about Energy Drinks than anything else put together. I get calls form distributors looking for them from manufacturers trying to sell them and from people looking to start their own brand.

It's a great business to get into; more than 300 new Energy Drinks hit the US market last year. If you plan on going into this business do your research first.

Don't even think of launching or carrying new energy drinks until you know more about the industry. Here are some questions you Must answer before launching, distributing or retailing Energy Drinks:

===Find out:===

- How much is the Energy Drink and New Age Beverage category growing per year?
- What are the best segments to be in?
- How much does a store and distributor sell per month of an energy drink?
- What are the best sizes for energy drinks?
- Who is the best customer for energy drinks?
- Where should you spend your promotions?
- Should you sell at events, schools and bars?
- How to sell to Retail Chains? -What you need to sell to Distributors
- The Industry Standard Pricing for Energy Drinks in the USA
- What is the best pricing for your product? Price to beverage distributors, wholesale distributors, exporters, food service, cash and carry and wagon jobbers
- How much will you put back into marketing using the Energy Drink marketing formula?

Now that you know the questions to ask and answer before you decide on your product it's time to sell. How will you start selling? Do you have a contact with a retail store or a distributor? Please pay the most attention to this part of the business. You need sales to survive. Get a seasoned salesperson or a good broker to help you if you are not a great salesperson.

Promotions are a large part of Energy Drinks and it makes them very exciting. You have parties, club events, games, sponsorships, fun fun and more fun. Now, the real question here is How much will you get for your promotions? Notice I don't ask how much you'll spend in promotions but how much you'll get back. Please, please don't spend a dime without a plan to get it back in sales.

Once everyone in your town finds out you have an Energy Drink you'll be the most popular game in town. You'll get calls from newspapers, magazines, and especially radio stations, all looking for advertising. Not to mention all the requests for sponsorship you'll get. What to do? Nothing, don't do a thing until you know how much you'll get for your investment in promotions. Don't spend anything without distribution; don't spend a dime without knowing your Return On Investment.
